12 I write to you, little children,
Because your sins are forgiven you for His name’s sake. Used 6 times in 3 verses "born ones" believers prefect tense the Glory of God 13 I write to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
I write to you, little children,
Because you have known the Father. 14 I have written to you, fathers,
Because you have known Him who is from the beginning.

Because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one. immature, need care and guidance Maturity Sound Doctrine Biblical Worldview Defend the Truth Love for God's Word Basic Knowledge of God Great Passion Need Guidance Sincerity Complete Love Full Circle Deep Truth + Rich Passion Intimate Walk Spiritual Growth 1. Spiritual growth does not determine the believer’s standing in grace before God 2. Spiritual growth does not affect God’s love for believers 6. Spiritual growth
is not mystical, sentimental, or psychological. It does not stem from a once-for-all act of spiritual rededication, religious decision, or an emotional experience that produces good feelings 3. Spiritual growth is not measured by the calendar
4. Spiritual growth is unrelated to the amount of theological information believers know 5. Spiritual growth has nothing to do with outwardly successful ministry activity 1 John 2:12-14
