The natural sandstone arch spans 78 feet and is 65 feet high. it became one of Kentucky's original four state parks in 1925. Weathering naturally formed the arch over millions of years. Also in Natural Bridge State Resort Park, the park that contains Natural Bridge (as if you didn't already know that) there is the Balance Rock, another rock formation in the park found near Natural Bridge.
