Symbiotic relationship between Squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis) and Trees
Commensalism relationship
Eastern Gray Squirrels -Deciduous trees
White Oak, American Beech, American Elm, Red Maple, and Sweetgum
Males and females are similar in size
Mate in the fall and the spring
Males are dominate
Females stay in the tree with the young and males go out to collect food
Females have a specific mating call and danger noise.
