Critique
"Catch the Moon" is a well written story because the author is able to solve Luis' conflicts internally and externally by having him find the hubcap he is searching for, which helps him feel accomplished and giving "the first good thing he had given anyone in a long time." Most of the internal and external conflicts that Luis Cintron has to deal with can be really relatable to the teenagers today who have lost a loved one. His internal conflict was him trying to come to terms with his mother's death and his external conflict was working at his father's junkyard even though he does not want to.

Comparison
This story could also relate to kids that have no mother. Some kids cannot cope as well with no mother in their life and act out like Luis did. The story can also relate to the movie Up because in the movie Carl's wife dies and begins to have a grumpy demeanor, but after doing something he likes and helping Russel, he starts to feel better.
Author's Style
