Printed Materials
Books and other printed materials aren't just fun to read. They can teach us a lot of valuable information.

What are some examples of printed materials?
Newspaper
Newspapers let us know what is going on in our community and around the world.
Dictionary
Book
Johnny and Michael like bugs.
They both have magnifying glasses.
This means they can study bugs.
When we read books they give us clues about what is going to happen next in the story.
Let's see if we can figure out what will happen with Johnny and Michael.
Weather
Sports
Local News

We can learn a lot from a dictionary. Whenever we have a problem with saying or spelling a word, we can look it up in the dictionary. There are other things we can do with a dictionary as well. Can you think of any?
