Pure Ice, and Xtreme will last the longest? My Research Nail polish stays on your nails because it has a strong acid, Hydrogen Peroxide.
Nail polish will begin to come off because the oils from your nails make the adherence of the polish to your nail become weaker.
The top five best nail polish brands are OPI, Essie, China Glaze, Sally Hansen, and Zoya.
The key ingredient in nail polish is nitrocellulose, a long lasting, film forming agent derived from cellulose.
The way nail polish works is that after it is evenly spread on the nails, the solvent evaporates and it creates a protective film that resists removal. Conclusion Procedure On the first day I painted three of my nails to
represent the different nail polishes then everyday
for a week straight I followed these steps:
1. Was my hand for a minute
2.Type on the computer for five minutes
3.Take a shower
4. Take a picture of my nails
My project was to test the durability of the three
different types of nail polish based off daily
actives like typing, washing your hands, and
washing your hair. Everyday for week I tested
the polish by washing my hands for a minute,
typing for five minutes, and taking a shower.
I also picked an expensive brand, an average
brand, and a cheap brand to test. Most Durable Nail Polish Kaylee Rambo
Stanhope Elmore In this experiment I can conclude that out of the three dependent variables that Essie last the longest on my nail. The pictures I have provided shows that the worst type of nail polish was the cheapest, Pure Ice, it started to fade off on the second day. Next was the average brand, Xtreme, it chipped day five. My hypothesis stands correct because Essie did not chip until day seven. Materials Essie nail polish
Pure Ice nail polish
Xtreme nail polish
one pump of soap
Variables Controlled: The amount of time I spent typing and washing my hands, amount of soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
Independent: Essie, Pure Ice, and Xtreme nail polish
Dependent: the amount on nail polish left on the nail. Hypothesis I predict that if I test the three different nail polishes with daily actives then the Essie brand will last the longest. Data:
