Transcript of HOW A CELL IS LIKE A MOVIE THEATER

The
Plasma Membrane
is like the ticket booth because it keeps people from coming into the theater in the same way that the
Plasma Membrane
is the barrier between the inside of a cell.
The
Nucleus
is like the projector man because it controls the movie in the same way as the
Nucleus
controls the cell.
The
Mitochondrion
is like the pop corn machine because it breaks down the kennel to make airy popcorn in the same way that the
Mitochondrion
breaks down food molecules to release energy.
The
Lysosome
is like the trash can because it eliminates the garbage that people have in the same way that the
Lysosome
digests waste.
The
Cytoskeleton
is like the ushers because they move people in and out of the theater the same way as the
Cytoskeleton
plays an essential role in cell movement.

Chromosomes
are like the movie because they are what the projector man controls in the same way as the
Chromosomes
are controlled by the nucleus.
The
Golgi

Apparatus
is like the snack counter workers because they package and distribute popcorn and soda in the same way that the
Golgi

Apparatus
packages and distributes materials in and out of the cell.

The
Ribosome
is like the ticket because it makes the profits in the same way as the

makes protiens.

The
Vacuole
is like the soda fountain because it is fluid filled in the same way that the
Vacuole
is a fluid filled vesicle found in a plant.

The
Endoplasmic Reticulum
is like the ticket booth workers because they process the tickets in the same way as the

processes and transports proteins

The
Nucleolus
is like the movie projector because it controls what the people watch in the same way as the
Nucleolus
controls the nucleus.

Cell Wall
is like the building because it surrounds the ticket booth in the same way that the
Cell Wall
surrounds the cell membrane.

The
Chloroplast
is like the concession stand because it is where the workers make food in the same way as the
Chloroplast
makes food.
