PURPLE & GOLD TEAMS WERE THE DOMITIAN TEAMS They were pretty much used for racing and enterainment for the romans. Emperor Nero was a very famous rider he was a racer in the ancient olympic games. Emperor Caligula once raced in a chariot but never did it again he became a HUGE supporter or the green team and spent hours in their stables. It was recorded that he ate there too.
