Deaf Event Presentation
Transcript of Deaf Event Presentation
A touring theater group from NTID (National Technical Institute for the Deaf).
Provides a fun educational program in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (or STEM) and experiences from the Deaf community.
Sunshine 2.0 is based off of a touring theater company, Sunshine Too, that existed from 1980-1999.
Sunshine Too toured 48 states in America along with countries in Canada, Europe, and Asia.
Sunshine 2.0 was constructed to provide a similar experience for children and adult of the 21st century.
Overall, I had a really fun time. I learned a lot about ASL poetry and storytelling via body and gestural communication, not to mention the amount of energy you need for performing!
Next time, I will bring friends so that we can enjoy the workshop together!

Sunshine 2.0 had two events, an educational interactive performance and a workshop.
Since I am also a Drama major, I felt comfortable attending this event. I know a lot about theater and improvising (although I am not good at it)
It was a bit awkward in the workshop because not everyone knew each other, by the end, we were all very comfortable and confident.
The Deaf people there were very confident and very encouraging of us to participant and helped us with perfect signing
