Kevin Henkes Besides children's books with the popular mice characters, Henkes has also published eleven novels, including Words of Stone, which is especially meaningful to Henkes because this book was his first to elicit letters from older children and adults I've always been a fan of Kevin Henkes' work because his children's books are unique, comical, yet provide essential life lessons for all young readers.
One of my favorite characters is Lilly from Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse and Lilly's Big Day. Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse happens to be my favorite; because its a good book to read at the beginning of the school year and teach students about respect between them and the teacher Closure
