Mozart Family and Early Life Childhood At age 5, Mozart started to compose his own music. Adult Life At age 15, he became an assistant concertmaster. Facts About Mozart He was a very famous classical music composer in the mid-late 1700s. Influenced a few famous future composers. Had many names throughout his life Liked to call himself Wolfgang Amadè Mozart. Common full name was Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart. Mozart born on January 27, 1756 in Salzburg, Austria. Born to Leopold Mozart and Anna Maria He had a sister named Maria Anna, often called Nannerl. Two out of seven children lived. Age 3, watched his sister learn piano from Leopold. Died at a very young age. Age 4, learned the violin and organ. Leopold took Mozart on a grand tour to play for nobles for 3 years. A day after his birth he was baptized. Composed his first symphony, oratorio, and opera at a very young age. Mastered a few instruments at a young age. Went on many more tours after the grand tour. His mom died when he was 22. He tried to marry Contanze in 1782 but his dad was like... It's unknown how Mozart got his father to actually
agree to let Constanze marry him. Constanze She fell in love with Mozart first. Eventually they got married on August 3, 1782. 1783-1788 He couldn't find a job that would earn him more money. Produced solo concerts from 1783-
1785. Also produced the work "Marriage of
Figaro" in 1785-6. Tutored two future famous composers. Beethoven Hummel 1788-1791 Started to fall into financial debt. Started to pay off debts in 1791. Made long journeys in hopes of gaining money. Depression Got ill in September 1791. Mozart died on December 25, 1791
at the age of 35. Fun Facts Knew about 15 different languages. Composed over 600 works 50 symphonies 25 piano concertos 12 violin concertos 12 violin concertos 27 concert arias 26 string quartets 103 minuets 15 masses 21 opera works Would play for guards so his family could get through customs. There's more... Would compose music in his head then store the notes until he could write it on a piece of paper. He could write musical notes before he could write any letters. His real full name was Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophillus Amadeus Gottlieb Sigismundus Mozart Mozart's Style Mozart's Alarm Clock The End Classical Music Wrote in almost every major music genre. Exploited Chromatic Harmony. Used the Baroque style in his music. Considered as one of the best composers of all time. By Isaiah Herr Born on January 5, 1762 in Zell im Wiesental and died on March 6, 1842. Worked as a double bass player, prompter, and music copyist. Sister of Aloysia. Mozart's personality was thought to be somewhat childish. He was also dependent and was obsessive with music. A slight deformity on his left ear.
