Approaches of the earl-mid 1900´s focused primarily on pathology and problems.




The Solution Focused Approach was first developed in the e 1970´s by Steve de Shazer, Inso Kim Berg and their colleagues at the Brief Family Therapy Center in Millwauke.
By the late 1950´s focus were shifting from the past to "here and now"
HISTORICALLY
One of the main functions of school is to help students to improve behaviors that compatible with their personality and environment.
Assumptions of Solution Focused Approach
1. "Do not fix it if it´s not broken"

2. "Find out what works and keep doing it"

3. "If it´s not working, stop doing it and do something different"
Solutions Focused Approach
The Solution Focused Counselling is a type of counseling that focused on present and future rather than past experiences.

-The goal is to focus on solving problems and establish the students potential by mobilizing its own resources.
