PROBLEM 1: INVENTORY
Khawaja Autos is an Atlas Honda Showroom that sells bikes.
They want to maximize their profit, whereas their margin from each model of the bike is as follows:
(calculated by subtracting purchasing cost from selling price)
Total Showroom capacity is 70 bikes
Average sales of CD-70 is highest among all, and then come CG-125,
Pridor and Deluxe in the order. So giving them weightage that maximum they should be 40%, 30%, 20%, and 10% respectively.
According to the company policy, Khawaja Autos must keep even those bikes which have low sales; atleast 30% of the total inventory.
Maximize Profits by efficient Inventory:
3,410 X1 + 5,109 X2 + 4,400 X3 + 6,335 X4
X1 = CD-70
X2 = Cg-125
X3 = Pridor
X4 = Deluxe
These results show that in order to get minimum service labor cost i.e. Rs. 2683/day, Khawaja Autos should keep 3 full-time employees, a 12pm part-timer, two 1pm part-timers and three 5pm part-timers.
