TAG Testing Placement The TAG Screening Process CogAT (reasoning assessment)
and
Gifted Aptitude Test Current PCCS 2nd and 3rd Graders will test in their home school

Current PCCS 4th and 5th Graders will test at the Plymouth Library.

Private, Charter and Wayne County Schools 2nd - 5th graders and ALL 6th and 7th graders will complete the CogAT test at the Plymouth District Library. Ability
Aptitude
Age normed CogAT Verbal
Nonverbal
Quantitative Standard Age Scores are combined to arrive at at Composite Score (essentially IQ) Gifted Aptitude Test Current PCCS 2nd - 5th graders will test in their home school.

Private, Charter and Wayne County Schools 2nd-5th graders and ALL 6th and 7th graders will be tested in a computer lab at the Plymouth High School Media Center. 30 minute timed test
Norm Referenced
Provides Standard Scores, Percentile Ranks and Age Equivalents
Measures non-verbal reasoning and general problem solving skills Scores from all tests are included.

The selection committee meets in
mid March to review all scores and make placement decisions based on scores and number of spaces available. Letters will be mailed by mid April 2013.

Assignment to a specific TAG school is based on the location of residence in the district and the number of open seats at each TAG building. Orientation &
Commitment Forms Parents and students are invited to attend an
orientation in late April or early May.

Commitment forms due
on May 10, 2013 by 3:30 p.m.
After May 10th, the spot is offered
to another qualified child. January 22nd - February 12th Open Seats Expected
for Fall 2013 3rd grade - 4 classrooms of 29 students = 116 total.
4th grade - 4 classrooms of 30 students (3 classes advance from 3rd grade) = 33 total.
5th - 8th grades - unknown - based on vacancies created by students who move or leave the program.
