Why Come To Scotland?
Transcript of Why Come To Scotland?
T in the Park
T in the Park is a big music festival that's being held in Scotland this year. Tonnes of people come from all over to hear the music played at this thing. Mass crowds of writhing bodies, inviting those who stand by to get inside. The musicians are another story, though. They come from places all around the world to our very own Land of the Scott(ish people). To play for us, to sing for us, to perform for us. And for you, if you come. How exciting!
The Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games are a huge sports festival! Athletes train specifically for this event, which is hosted all around the world. It's an honour to host it in Scotland, and it'd be an honour to have you here to experience it with us. Some of the sports at this event are Cycling, Boxing and Basketball. Of course, there are 15 other activities for the aspiring athletes to partake in. Come on over here and cheer on your favourite star! Possibly take a shot at the sport yourself, too! Just make sure to have safety first!
The Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup is a men's golf competition, held between the USA and Europe. It's played every two years, and the venue always alternates between cities in the United States of America and Europe. This year, 2014, it's being held in our very own city Glasgow. So far, Europe has won 9 times, while the Americans only have 7. Come along to Scotland and cheer us on! Europe needs you and your support to makes nine wins into ten.
Why Come To Scotland?
The weather in Scotland might seem unappealing, but I assure you that the attractions are not. The scenery is absolutely stunning; from Edinburgh Castle to the rolling hills in the Highlands, it's a sight to see. Not only that, but this year we're hosting the Commonwealth Games! There's also the Ryder Cup, T in the Park and other very interesting things. As a matter of fact, if you do happen to make your way over here, you can try one of our very own deep fried Mars bars!
