Miguel Hidalgo
Miguel Hidalgo was born on May 8, 1753, in Pénjamo, Mexico. He died on July 30, 1811, in Chihuahua, Mexico.
Miguel Hidalgo is known for being the
"Father of the Nation." He declared Mexico from Spain
on September 10, 1810.
A common food in Mexico is, the
burrito. It consists of a flour tortilla wrapped or folded around a filling. The flour tortilla is usually lightly grilled or steamed, to soften it and make it more pliable. In Mexico, re fried beans, Mexican rice, or meat are usually the only fillings and the tortilla is smaller in size. In the United States, however, fillings generally include a combination of ingredients such as Mexican rice, beans, lettuce, salsa, meat, avocado, cheese, and sour cream, and the size varies, with some burritos considerably larger than their Mexican counterparts.

Artistic movements of Mexico contained unique features unlike other art. This art affected newly invented arts such as photography and strongly promoted folk art and crafts as part of Mexico’s identity. Since the 1950s, Mexican art has declared itself as a new style and has used elements from Asian art. Mexico's art has had an effect on the world, because of its uniqueness.
The music that is popular in Mexico is unlike many other styles of Mexico. This music features
acoustic guitars and trumpets. Those who play this type of music may be involved in a mariachi band. This genre of music is traditional folk.
I find Mexico to be very interesting. They have a very unique style of music and their food is very unique as well. Their history is very interesting, and I found that researching this country helped me understand more about Mexico.
