By Hannah Japan Facts about Japan It is 5884 miles from Peterborough to Tokyo, Japan.

Tokyo is the capital city of Japan UK Japan The tallest mountain is Mount Fuji, it is 3776m tall. Japan is made up of lots of islands. The largest are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku
Japanese people call the country Nippon, which means Land of the Rising Sun. Japanese food In Japan rice is eaten at almost every meal.
One of the most popular dishes in Japan is sushi.
sushi is rice and raw fish Japanese clothes In Japan the traditional dress is a kimono
Kimono's are made out of silk.
They have large sleeves which go from the shoulder to the heel.
They have a wide belt around the middle called an obi.
Komono's are worn on special occasions like festivals or weddings. School In Japan children go to school Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.
Children only get four weeks holiday each year.
