a.k.a the Triple O Let me clarify, only certain operations can be switched around. The ones that you can switch around are multiplication/division or subtraction/addition, only in certain situations though. You can switch them around! If you have more than one operation in parentheses, use the same steps as you normally would. For example, in the equation

(7-3x2) + 5= 6

You would first go to the parentheses, since it is the first step in Order of Operations. Next, you would use the Triple O to see which operation you should simplify first. Follow the rules

in parentheses too! Use P.E.M.D.A.S

It stands for

Parentheses.Exponents. Multiplication. Division. Addition. Subtraction

Use the Triple O in every math equation or expression. First, memorize the actual order of the operations. When you learn your Triple 0,

your math grades will fly up, sky high! If you can't remember those letters, try using a fun sentence with words that start with these letters. For example, you can use the statements "Please excuse my dear aunt Sally," or "Please eat my delicious apples soon." In the acronym PEMDAS, which comes first, the S for subtraction or the M for multiplication? That's right, the M for multiplication! Now that we know that, let's check to see if the math statement is right!

(7-3x2)+5=6

We multiply the 3 and 2 first.

(7-6)+5=6

You know what to do now right?

We subtract the 7 from 6, which is 1.

One plus five is 6. Therefore, the two sides are equal. I guess somebody is

actually listening during

my presentation! But no, I did not really mean to

eat apples right now. You still have to focus and learn! I still have important stuff coming up! If the equation or expression is written with two of the compatible operations, just solve it in the order written. Check to see if it's right.

5-3+6=8 The subtraction operation is written before

the addition operation. Therefore, solve the subtraction first. 5-3+6=8

Subtract first.

2+6=8

Now add.

8=8

It's correct. Exponents also have a buddy operation. Square roots are the peanut butter to the exponents jelly. They go hand in hand. If you have a problem with square rooting, the exponents spot would change to square root. If it helps, rewrite the acronym.

Check all components of the problem before you begin. Go through the acronym. Is there parentheses? How about exponents? It's official!
