CASE #4: BITTER PILL

EVIDENCE
HOW DID WE ANALYZE THE EVIDENCE?
-Matches: Superglueing fumming method in The Fingerprint Station.
SUSPECTS/POI (PERSON OF INTEREST)
Donald Parker (neighbor)
Natalie Perez (girlfriend)

HOW DID WE SOLVE THE CASE? MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF EVIDENCE
WHAT HELPED US THE MOST IN SOLVING THE CRIME WAS THE PILLS WE FOUND IN THE VICTIM AND HIS GIRLFRIEND`S BLOOD, HE HAD AN OVERDOSE AND DIED, HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS SCARED AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO SO SHE JUST POURED GASOLINE UNDER THE SPACE HEATER AND BUT A PIECE OF CLOTH OVER THE SPACE HEATER AND THAT STARTED A FIRE, THIS WOULD MAKE US THINK THE CAUSE OF THE DEATH WAS THE FIRE WHEN IT REALLY WAS A DRUG OVERDOSE.
CONCLUSION
FROM THIS CSI WEB ADVENTURE CASE WE LEARNED THAT WHEN A PERSON DIES YOU HAVE TO ANALYZE EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU COME UP WITH A CONCLUSION. IN TI CASE FOR EXAMPLE AT FIRST WE THOUGHT THAT THE VICTIM DIED BECAUSE OF THE FIRE AND WE WERE FOCUSING ON FINDING WHO STARTED THE FIRE, BUT WHEN WE EXAMINED THE VICTIMS BLOOD WE REALIZED THAT HE HAD OXYCODONE (DRUG, PAIN RELIEVER) IN HIS BLOOD AND ALSO HAD DRANK ALCOHOL AND AT THE END THAT WAS WHAT KILLED HIM. WE HAVE TO REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE WHOLE CASE, NOT ONLY AT THE MOST OBVIOUS CLUES.
DESCRIPTION OF CRIME SCENE
There is a space heater with a piece of cloth that could have started the fire, there is a burnt outlet to which the space heater was connected. There is a protected surface in the shape of a body which means the body was laying there during the fire. There is a puddle-shaped burn pattern that was formed by an ignitable liquid.
