Dying is a story about a
family's journey to bury
their dead mothers body. Rising Action:
The mom Addie dies and the family prepares to go on the trip to her burial grounds. Exposition:
Even before their mothers death, the poverty- stricken Bundren family was preparing for their mothers death. Climax:
I think there are two climaxes when the family is on their journey. One is when the family was trying to cross a river and the bridge broke cause massive destruction. The other is when they were staying in someone's barn and it caught on fire. Falling Action:
The falling action is when things finally start winding down when Adie's body is finally buried Resolution:
Just after he buried his wife's body, the father, Anse introduces the children to a new women... Characters The book is written from all the characters point's of views almost like a journal. Bundren Children:
Vernon and Cora Tull Main Characters: There are many conflicts in the book, As I Lay Dying. One of them is one of the children, Darl goes insane and has to be sent to a mental hospital.The whole main conflict is finding a way to get Addie's body safely to burial. You may like this book if you are looking for different view points or want a difficult book to read. Also if you like a lot of character in books, this book is for you.
