What is the Meaning of Holy Molly
The Etyomology of "Holy Moly"
Holy Moly originates from the story of Hermes, Odysseus, and Circe. Circe gave Odysseus' friends a potion that turned them into pigs. So, Hermes presented Odysseus with the Moly herb. This herb protected Odysseus from Circe's magic, so he could rescue his friends.
