John 15:13 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

These things I command you, that ye love one another.
John 15:12,17 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Mark 4:39 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27 Peace is rest that comes from knowing that God is in control of all things at all times! Where does this peace come from? Have you ever had a peace you couldn't understand? Peace, be still How can we use peace?
What is it good for? Long suffering speaks of courageous endurance over time in difficult circumstances. What is long suffering? Patience in knowing that God is in control. Displayed in the story of job. The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression...(Numbers 14:18a) But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.(Psalms 86:15) Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (1 Timothy 1.16) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. (Colossians 3:12, 13) Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. (1 Peter 3.20) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (2 Peter 3:15) 2 Timothy 4.2-3 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
Psalm 18:35 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:17 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth
2 Timothy 2:24-25 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:2 "Kindness in action" How do we treat other people?
Are we being good examples of Jesus? Not just being "nice", but treating them in a way that will bless them. Examples of Jesus' Gentleness: Jesus showed gentleness to Zacchaeus in Luke chapter 9 John chapter 8 tells about a woman that was caught in sin and how Jesus handled her accusers. Another great example of Jesus' gentleness is the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4! Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day Matthew 5:16 (Jesus said) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Psalms 33:5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord Goodness is Love in action Goodness is character, honesty, kindness righteousness, doing the right thing Goodness is NOT badness, evil, iniquity, sin, lying Faith is similar to "dependability." The person with faith keeps their word... Keeps promises and vows Faith is complete trust or confidence in someone or something. Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:7 (KJV) By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Hebrews 11:8 (KJV) By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. Hebrews 11:11 (KJV) Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Hebrews 11:17 (KJV) By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Hebrews 11:23 (KJV) By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. Hebrews 11:24 (KJV) 24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; "Meakness" is not the same as "weakness" Meekness is the ability to be kind in situations in stead of overreacting. Not too good for humble tasks Numbers 12:3 (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Psalms 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 1 Corinthians 4:21 What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 1 Corinthians 9:25
And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. Titus 1:7-8
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Titus 2:2
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 2 Peter 1:5-6
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah Daniel chapter 1 Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery.
Genesis 37 Jesus had temperance in Matthew chapter 4 Matthew 4
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Matthew 4
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Matthew 4
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. Matthew 4
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. Daniel 1:6 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: Temperance is self-control or moderation Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Daniel 1:7 Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abed–nego. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (Ephesians 6:14) Ephesians 5:9
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Genesis 7:1
And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. 1 Samuel 24:17
And he (Saul) said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil. Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise Matthew 5:6
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matthew 6:31-34
31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
