Alaska is the biggest state in the USA.
The areal is about 2.5 times bigger than Texas state
In 2009 there were 698,473 citizens in Alaska.
Compared to the second largest state (Texas has 24,782,302 citizens) it's 35 times more people.
Juneau is the capitol of the state Alaska. It can only be reached by plane or ship because there are no roads leadimg to the city.
The ninth of April 1867 bought USA Alaska from the Russian emperor. It cost 7,2 million USD it equals 49,2 million danish kroner.
The seventh of July 1958 President Eisenhower signed the
Alaska Statehood Act
and made Alaska the 49th state
