Triceratops
T-Rex is short for Tyranosaurus Rex. It lived 70 million years ago. The skull of the T-Rex is 1.5m. The T-Rex lived in Western North America.

Brachiosaurus
General facts
Diplodocus

The name diplodocus comes from the Greek language and means double beam. Diplodocus lived in an area that is now western North America. The diplodocus is the longest dinosaur that ever existed.
Allosaurus had featured big, sharp teeth, that had edges like saws. Its body and head were balanced by a long heavy tail. The name Allosaurus means different lizard.
Fossils
Triceratops lived in the late Cretaceous period. It needs three horns to protect itself from a carnivore. Triceratops had between 400 to 800 teeth. It is believed that a fully grown Triceratops weighed 6 to 12 tons.
Ankylosaurus was a huge armored dino. This dinosaur is related to a crocodile and an armadillo. The Ankylosaurus were herbivores and had small teeth relative to their body size.
The Brachiosaurus lived in North America. The lenghth of the Brachiosaurus is believed to have been 26m. It's weight has been estimated 30 to 45 metric tons.
Velociraptor
The Velociraptor is a really small dinosaur no bigger than a turkey. A fully grown Velociraptor could grow up to 2m at the hip and weigh up to 15kg. The first known Velociraptor fossil was found in the Mongolian Gobi Desert.
Spinosaurus
The Spinosaurus lived in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisa, and Niger. It eats other dinosaurs, alive or dead; dino eggs too. Spinosaurus means Thorn Lizard.
Carnotasaurus
Any Questions?
Dinosaurs lived 250 million to 65 million years ago in the Mesozoic era. Back then all the continents were combined and called Pangea. The first period is the Triassic period, then comes the Jurassic, last is the Cretaceous period. The name Dinosaur means "terrible lizard. Carnivores are meat eating and herbivores are plant eating.

Unusually for a dinosaur a Carnotasaurus's eyes faced forward. Carnotasaurus means ''meat eating bull''. It lived in South America.
Thank You for Listening.
Dinosaur fossils have been found on every continent of Earth, including Antartica. It takes millions of years for fossils to form. First the soft parts of the animal's or plants's body's rot away. Then the harder parts are covered in mud. A million years later the animal is deep in the ground. The mud is crushed by the land on top and turned to stone. So are the remains of animal. Millions of years later, the stone gets worn away, and the animal fossil can be seen.
The reason dinosaurs are extinct is because 65 million years ago an asteroid crashed in the middle of a place that is now called Mexico. The dust from the asteroid blocked the sunlight. Since there was not enough sunlight, the plants started dying. The herbivores could not eat anything so they died. The carnivores did not have anything to eat so they ate each other. Soon all dinosaurs died. Scientists think this.
