By David Jensen The U.S. Federal Budget and how it works It's all of the money brought into the Federal Government through taxes and all of the expenses to programs and services that the Federal Government pays for. (youtube.com) What's my tax rate? Every year the President proposes a budget to congress. Congress then votes on the proposal. (cbpp.org) How is the money distributed to programs and services? (nytimes.com) How do they get the money
for the budget? The money comes from taxes. Taxes are a set percentage from everyone's income that is paid to the National, State and local governments. The federal taxes that are collected go to the U.S. Federal Reserve in Washington D.C. (Blogspot) (About.com) Summary -The budget is a plan of how much the government will spend each year.

-The President creates the plan and congress votes on it.

-The budget is paid for through taxes.
