Singular Possessive Nouns What is a possessive noun? A possessive noun tells us who or what owns or has something. A possessive noun should always come before what it owns. Lisa's shoes are new. You can change a sentence to show a possesive noun. How can I form a possessive singular noun? You can add an "apostrophe" plus a "s" to form a possessive singular noun. QUIZ! Aaron's ipod is blue. The blue ipod belongs to Aaron. The ___ rattle is pink.
