Transcript of Steve jobs
This is Steve Jobs the creator of Apple. This is the story of his life.
Steve Jobs was born in San Francisco on 24 February 1955.
Steve grew up in a neighborhood of people who made electronics.
Steve started out working as a video game maker for Atari. Steve wanted to make computers with his friend Steve Wozniak. They started making a computer in the garage. The computer was called an Apple computer.
Steve started a new computer company called NeXT.
He bought a computer graphics company from George Lucas and renamed it Pixar. Pixar made animation films using computers. Pixar used computers to make the movies look like they were 3D.
Steve left Apple in 1985 because he had a disgreement with John Sculley who was the head of Apple.
The NeXT computer was not a big hit so...
After the success of the Ipod, Steve's next idea was to the Iphone which was not just a phone. You can do amazing things on it like sending a email to your friends, take photos and videos, play games and much much more.
Steve Jobs is connected with my life at school and at home. At school we use Apple computers and Ipads for research and school work. At home, I have an Ipod and I "borrow" my mum's Ipad.
If Steve Jobs had not created Apple, it would be a lot harder to learn and have fun.
Steve Jobs had ideas for how to do things better and never let anything stop him from making his dreams come true.
"Lets go invent tomorrow instead of worrying about what happened yesterday."

In 1984, Apple made a new computer called the "Macintosh". Here is an advert for it.
On 5 October 2011, Steve Jobs died of cancer.
People around the world were upset at his death. US President Obama said:
The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve's success than the fact that much of the world learnt of his passing on a device he invented."
In 2010, Apple released the Ipad. The Ipad is a tablet with a touch screen and can do everything the Iphone can do (except the phone part).
In 1976, the two Steves decided to start a company which they called Apple. In 1977, they made their second computer, called the Apple II, which was a big hit.

Meanwhile Apple was struggling to sell its computers because Microsoft Windows was so successful.
Apple asked Steve Jobs to come back to help save the company. He came up with the Ipod which was a portable music player. The Ipod was very popular.
