ENGLAND is a country that is divided into 34 counties.
It is on the island of Great Britain along with the countries of Scotland and Wales.
It has a total area of 50,346 square miles.
The capital city of England is London.
The country consists of a population of nearly 52 million.
It is ruled by a monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, who uses a parliament to manage the country.
