Transcript of Refraction and Reflection

Refraction is the bending of the light rays. For example a prism, a straw in a cup of water , and lens , all the example shows refraction of the light rays.
Examples of Refraction
* prism
* A straw in a cup of water
* lens
* microscope
* telescope
*eye glass
* when you put your leg in the swimming pool

Refraction and Reflection

Examples of Reflection
* Metal Spoon
* Metal chair leg
* mirror
* when a TV is off, you can see your reflection
* Metal watch
* Foil paper
* ect.

Reflection is the bouncing back of light rays from a shiny surface. For example a mirror is an example of reflection. The light bounces off that shiny surface.

What's the difference between reflection and refraction?
The difference between reflection and refraction is, reflection is the bouncing back of light. A metal spoon reflects light. The light bounces back from the material. Refraction is bending of light rays
in different angles. For example when you put a straw in a cup of water it refracts light.
