Notes What is your purpose for taking field notes? Be aware that if others notice you they may feel compelled to act differently than normal Be prepared to write horribly, use "short hand" and write alot. Put away judgments or biases. Write what you observe and hear. Save your feelings for the reflection. During the observation, the events and details unfolding before you are the most important. You can add your thoughts, analyzation, and feelings to your reflection later.
