Engineering Derrick B. Light switch Boat Dragster On the E-car you learn to make
a wheel . The features you use to make the wheel are extruded Boss/Base , extruded cut , and On the base of the boat is for the placing of the motor, motor
mount , and the battery holder. Some of the features one person might use are MATES , Flip Dimensions, Concentric MATES.
VOCAB.

WHAT IS A MATE ?
A MATE IS WHEN SOMEONE WANTS TO JOIN TWO OBJECTS AS ONE AS AN assembly

WHAT IS A CONCENTRIC MATE ?
A CONCENTRIC MATE IS A TYPE OF MATE THAT A ALOWS A PERSON DESIGNING A ASSEMBLY . On the body of the co2 rail car a person can use many tools to complete this task . First, use spline, spline is a line and they use points to form what is know as a "SPLINE" . The next item they must do is revolved Boss/Base. Revolved Boss/Base is revolving a sketch into a extruded object. In the light switch cover the person has the chance to learn about many tools in solid works.
The person learns to make cuts and extrudes at first but then he or she must learn to make fillets, arcs, and other extrudes and tools used in solid works. Peanut and Jelly Sandwich Tutorial 1. The first thing the maker does is to get the materials peanut butter , jelly , knife , and bread. 2. Put the bread of a table with
the peanut butter , jelly , and
knife 3.Third, put 1/4 of a cup of peanut
butter and then do the same to the
Jelly . 4. Put peanut of the one of the bread 5. Put the jelly on the the other piece of bread. 6.Set the peanut butter on the bread with on the bread with the jelly. 7.Then put the materials away. Marina Owner -
Live aboard manager The reason I want to be a live aboard
boat manager is because I love the
Boating world and I love the freedom a
boat gives the the owner and people
enjoying the boat. The rewards for
owning a docking service is to give a
scenic views and comfort to the boater, and to
see people with the same love for boating as I do. Portfolio

PICTURES Front Wheel complete CNC Milling CNC Milling Is..... when someone makes a file in solidworks
you will start to mill out the part in
CNC milling . Some of the milling
materials that are availble are
steal , wood , plasic , etc.
The abbreviation CNC stands
for computer numerical
control . Front Wheel Rear Washer Assembly What is a
wind tunnel? Wind tunnels are used because they are a new way to simulate patterns in anything that though
the atmosphere .
The way the wind tunnel works is there is a fan that spins and the fog runs over the object you are testing.
One of the benfits of running a Wind Tunnel is to see the way the plane,car,or even boats. Portfolio

Name - Derrick B.
City - Bradenton,FL
Phone number- (941)448-4465 Bridges Abutment- What is it???
A abutment is a support
of the support of a(n) arch Truss- What is it??
Used as a webbed design
beams are shorter compared
to the truss , but the beam isn't
stronger then the truss . Caused
by the length of the truss. Tension- What is Tension???
push and pulls Load- A load is the downward force
on the bridge . Compression-compress like a spring What is a gusset plate???- Used to join 2 or more pieces of a truss. This is a bridge design in a software
called..... West Point Bridge Design.
The download is currently at http://bridgecontest.usma.edu/downld4.htm This is a failing that was modeling in west point bridge design
program.If you can see the middle column has failed because of one or two things . One way the bridge failed is because of the use of poor material . Number two , the bridge is made of the wrong gauge or materials or the soil under the the bridge is unstable . The picture above is a steal cable bridge . To get the business card finished
To work with the lazer to complete the business card , and cut them out
work in solid works to get the speedway and tutorial finishing
also get a better view and the way the animation part of solid works
The Adirondack Chairs are a project I can get a very good view of the building part of the industry The design process The humanoid robot In solid works the company used a solid works plastic software . If there is a problem with the mold and/or plastic . Solid works will use a "heating" simulation to detect a problem with either one the mold or the product it self. It even shows you cooling point 'when the the product dries . heated model cooling model Engineering Technology Major If you had a job opening to any Major Engineering Technology job what would you do ? My idea of a job in the engineering field would be in Architecture . The reason being is the beauty of a building the lines, the cool shapes , and the happiness and comfort . A simple building gives years and years of reliable . I spent the summer with a contractor named John he teached me how to build a house . It was and still is a 3 story 8,000 sq2 . I learned how to frame , pore concrete , and make a stick build home. The 2nd reason is I love to feel the seance of being able to complete some materials into a house or a boat . I love what I do and also making people happy. Because people normally do the kind of work that I do. That is why I love Architecture. EXPLAINING X , Y, Z There are two types of axis in engineering and Math . One is in the image of the phone .You now can see that the Z (which is the blue line) is when you extrude an object.This Z is only used in manufacture branch . The Y is the vertical axis is used to illustrate the height of an object . Two is the math in this subject you can only use y and x . X is Horizontal and Y is again vertical . In math we use these two axises for grafting . PORTFOLIO
POST
9/29/12 THE WEIGHT OF A 2.5 GALLONS OF WATER IS .... 20.85 POUNDS . THIS RELATES TO STRUCTURAL EFFICIENCY BY THE AMOUNT OF WEIGHT ADDED TO THE STRUCTURE . Prezi Post 10/19 WHAT is innovation ? Innovation is about ideas that result in valve creation. My robot is desirable we all want to complete and have to opportunity to help and have a chance to build the robot either the Creation of the arm or the frame . The capability of the robot to lift up the sack 17 inches into the trough. Viability is the ably to live in certain conditions as in the fighting area in battle with other robots. CONDUCT SOME RESEARCH AND EXPLAIN THE PHENOMENON KNOW AS "ELASTIC COLLISIONS" The comparison between a wooden and a aluminum bat is ... The aluminum bat is hollow and the wooden bat is more dense v.s. the aluminum bat . The two kinetic bodies join and or meet together . Then send the less dense object to the opposite way ( like the ball ) . The movement of the ball and bat the ball would be moved by the force of the bat to move the ball . When in the case of the small objects they smack into each other to send the ball the the air . The "elastic collisions " can be a gas or a solid . Only can occur when their is know net conversions of kinetic energy into other forms. This is one example of one dimensional Newtonian .

Collisions PALLET
CHAIR THIS WEEK OF 10-29-12 TO 11-2-12 I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THE PALLET PROJECT . I HAD THE IDEAL OF COMPLETING A CHAIR ( LIKE MANY ARE choosing.) A SECOND IDEAL I HAD WOULD OF BEEN A SWING , BUT I COULDN'T MODEL A CHAIN OF solid works . SO I CHOOSE TO DO A PALLET CHAIR . HERE IS A REFERENCE . BELOW How do wind tunnels simulate flight? THE WAY WIND TUNNELS SIMULATE OR (ACT LIKE) FLIGHT IS .... IT IS A REALLY A SCALED DOWN MODEL OR SOME TIMES IN THE WIND TUNNEL THIER MIGHT BE A REAL AIR PLANE BEING TESTED. THE WAY IT WORKS IS THE WIND IS BLOWN OVER THE SURFACE OF THE PLANE TO analyze THE DRAG AND THE PULL OF THE PLANE , CAR , OR BIKE . THEY ALSO TEST HEATSHIEDS , MACH NUMBERS , AND PRESSURE ON AND IN THE AIRCRAFT . THE unfinished PALLET CHAIR .
MY IDEAL FOR THIS CHAIR IS TO COME UP WITH A BACK LIKE A ADARANDIC CHAIR , BUT NOT SUCH AS AN ANGLE BUT NOT AT 90 DEGREES . WHEN DESIGNING A PRODUCT IN solid works A PERSON MUST THINK ABOUT THE SIZE OF A PERSON ; solid works ALSO LET'S A PERSON (THE ENGINEER ) TO preform STRESS TEST ON THE PRODUCT . WHEN DESIGNING ALSO BE AWARE TO THE "EYE CRUB " OR THE WAY A PERSON VEIWS THE PRODUCT. In this work week of 11/12/12 though 11/16/12 . I have competed a video called "From Steel " . How many different measuring tools are used in his shop ? The correct number of tools was 12-14 tools used in the video to build this SoulCraft . If you were offered a solid works job with SoulCraft , what elements of design would you work on ? The element of design I would help in this company is the pressure test the frame to give the customers a weight rating for the bike. This is the picture of the bike that is would do the pressure
testing on it. This is the pallet chair future along the only OBJECTIVES have to arms and the back legs . My final drawing of the pallet chair !!! DONE!!!!!! PARTS TO THE PALLET CHAIR !!!! THE HIGHEST PAID JOB IN THE SOLID WORKS FEILD IS THE ....
OPTICAL NETWORKING PACKING ENGINEER
* Good professional experience in mechanical process
* CAD or CAM skills
* Solid Works or Auto Cad experience
* Thermal, Shock or Vibration analysis experience
* Design mechanical parts

THE LOWEST PAID JOB IN THE SOLID WORKS IS THE....
CAD DRAFTER - INTERN
* PREFERRED SOLID WORKS certification
* COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN
* MUST KNOW BASIC ALGEBRA surveymonkey.com What is CNC manufacturing and how is it a benefit to the workforce ? CNC manufacturing is .... Computer
Numerical
Control
How does it a benefit to the workforce?
The benefit to the workforce is the production increases dramatically the for one it is a more accurately Assembly and the man hours or time is shortened . Work For The Week of 12-12-12 Work Before Christmas In this week before Christmas in worked on the cudacountry.net web site . What I'm going to work on in the 3rd Quarter? Project 1 . My first project that I am going
to build and produce is the ... Penny Hockey
project . Project 2 . My second and finial project this quarter is the ... P-51 Air Plane . PROJECT 1
THIRD QUARTER Project One is a project from cudacountry.net ( The P-51) . Here is the work that has been completed in the last two weeks in the classroom. The objects that are finished are the motor , h stab , v stab , prop , wheel , wire wheel and the fuselage . Their still is going to be a lot of work that is still going to needed to complete . Such as the Assembly and flow works . Project 2 Third
Quarter This is a project that enrolled as a project that incorporates design and building . The project is on it's final week and finished . The project is the
boat . The boat must be propelled only
using a rubber-band . This will pose a challenge
for anyone who trys to make the small boat . The material was a foam block that someone can cut out to specs , and then afterward I had the ideal to
make a sort of steam boat paddle prop that
would propel the boat foreword . That is the
end to project number Two. The 7 ways !! by =Derrick B. Monday and Tuesday

3/18/13 This is a picture of a standard bridge in the
West Point Bridge Design Software . What
is this program and why do engineers use it ?
W.P.B.D.S is a program used to build bridges
of all kind . Also engineers use this program
to see if their "skill" or experience to make sore
the builders do not waste their money , but also
their investors money . This is a photo of a bridge that is under
stress . The light red indicates the brige is
under low stress , and the heavy red means
the bridge is under heavy strain and it needs
a change either in material and construction . Work For The Last Quarter (4th) What needs to be completed for the last quarter . The first objective that needs to be addressed is the shell car . The shell car is a project that has been on my list of completing for a while , and finally I will be able to mill the car out on the C.N.C machine in the forth quarter . The second objective is a project that is for a P.W.C (Personal Water Craft ) . I need to make a cart / tool cart for my jet ski that I'm going to restore over the summer and winter months of this year . I'm going to be able to complete the "Design Process" in this project . The cart I estimate to take about 3-4 weeks to design in solid works and to build in the shop next door. My Finished Dragster 3/21/13 End of the Year projects Pass the solid works certification by Friday the 10 th of May
Compete a tutorial called the spinning top for instructions on how to do annotation study by Friday the 24 th of May
If time permits I will make a custom hammer with the combonation of solidworks , CNC , and the lazer. End of the Year UPDATES (5/17/13)
These 12 parts are parts that I have been modeling in solidworks . The reason I'm modeling these objects is basally studying material to aid the solidworks certification exam . The parts each toke half of a period to 46/2 = 23 min.
