Cell compared to School
Transcript of Cell compared to School
stuff in and out of cells and the doors
let students in and out of the school. The nucleus of a cell can be compared to the principal of a school. The nucleus controls the cell and the principal controls the school. The cytoplasm of a cell can be compared to the hallways and classrooms of a school. The cytoplasm is everything but the nucleus of a cell and the hallways and classrooms is everything of the school. The sports programs
are the mitochondria
because the school sports
programs give energy to the
students, like mitochondria
make energy for the cell. Nucleus Cytoplasm Mitochondria Chloroplast The chloroplasts of the
school are the solar panels.
The solar panels use the sun
to generate energy, such as
chloroplasts do in a cell. Lysosomes The ribosomes of the school is the cafeteria. The cafeteria gives students the proteins they need to get through the day, like the ribosomes in the cell. The endoplasmic reticulum of the school is the conference room. The conference rooom is where the school administrator's assemble, just as the endoplasmic reticulum is where components of the cell membrane assemble. The golgi apparatus can be compared to the buses of a school. The buses take kids from school just like the golgi apparatus transports things out of the cell. The teachers of a school can be compared to the lysosomes of a cell because the teachers break down complex ideas for students to understand just as the lysosomes break down things in the cell. Vacuoles Microtubules The vacuoles in a cell are the lockers of the school. The vacuoles store things for the cell just as the lockers do for the students. Microtubules can be compared to hallways because the microtubules function as routes for organelle movement just as the hallways provide a path for students.
