Autism now affects 1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys
Autism prevalence figures are growing
Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
Autism costs a family $60,000 a year on average
Autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases
Boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism
There is no medical detection or cure for autism

Is there a kid in your classroom who is always alone? Does he/she have Autism? Do you care if you get made fun of because you are friends with this classmate? One word: Don't. People with Autism are just like us. Some may not talk. Some may. They are blessed with a great memory, An artistic mind, And many amazing things.

What is Autism?
Autism is a word that is a disorder that can be in your brain. It also makes it so your brain can not grow like it is supposed to. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in talking, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors.
