Great leaders will use the skill of communication to create
Transcript of Great leaders will use the skill of communication to create
By having all of these skills, it will make being an administrator with great leadership skills easier with your staff, students, and community.
To be a good leader, you need to be a good listener.
When people take the time to communicate their opinions, you must honor this and give them your undivided attention.
Communication is a very important step in becoming a great leader. If you cannot communicate well, the staff will not understand what direction the school is going. People need to feel that their opinion matters and that a leader will use it to help make those final decisions.
A leader with openness builds mutual respect and trust between leaders and followers, and it also keeps the team well supplied with new ideas that can further its vision.
Leaders need to be able to think outside the box, especially if you want their school to be different from others.
“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” (Vince Lombardi)
Dedication means spending whatever time or energy necessary to accomplish the task at hand. A leader inspires dedication by example, doing whatever it takes to complete the next step toward the vision.
Peer respect doesn't reveal your ability to lead, but it can show character and personality.
By creating a safe and supportive environment, co-workers feel they can come and talk to their leader at any time about any topic.
Peer respect also builds trust. When a staff trusts and respects its leader, a team can accomplish anything.
My Greatest Assets to Leadership
