In addition to building to NYS Code, Energy Star and LEED standards, we are also planning on building to the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS) FORTIFIED Building Standard in the future
FORTIFIED Building Standard has been adopted by the insurance industry as a means of certifying homes that are better equipped for natural disasters, such as hurricanes and floods
By building to the FORTIFIED Building Standard, we will help our homeowners receive premium breaks on their homeowners insurance
Building to the FORTIFIED Building Standard is recommended by HFHI and can be done at minimal additional cost (approximately $1,000/home)
We are one of the first home builders on Long Island to be building to the FORTIFIED Building Standard
