This plug-and-play switch requires no software setup, making it immediately ready to deliver five sets of functions to as many as five switches at a time. Rows of functions are chosen with a single push of a button. This device can be used with switch-accessible software for single switch access or two-switch scanning. The unit also delivers up, down, left, right, and enter controls to switches. This unit interfaces with software modules on a laptop or desktop personal computer (PC), including modules for audiometry, real ear measurement, visible speech, and hearing aid testing. The unit can be used for hearing assessment, hearing aid fitting, and patient satisfaction assessment, depending on the software modules installed. The unit has all the speech, tone, and noise stimuli required for each module. Every sound accessory has its own dedicated outlet, so there is no need to unplug devices between activities. All associated patient records are stored through NOAH or through the Interacoustics database program, OtoAccess. Both programs are networkable. *Portable Communicator for the Visually Impaired BLUEMOUSE The BlueMouse is a mouse with built-in wrist support designed for use by individuals with neurological or upper extremity disabilities, Parkinson's disease, or paraplegia. The mouse has a palm-shaped depression with spaces for the fingers, enabling a secure grip. A built-in magnet holds the mouse securely on the mouse pad. Trembling is counterbalanced so uncontrollable movements do not affect the mouse pointer. The cursor holds its place when the hand is removed from the mouse. The unit connects to a PC via a USB connection, and is recognized automatically. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible or Macintosh computers. Features enable users to manage calendar events simply, whether the event is recurring or only requires a one-time reminder; set a timer to track time; view past and future events; stay on track with sequential tasks; and respond to auditory and visual cueing. NANO PDA-LITE The Nano PDA-Lite is a braille notetaker and personal digital assistant designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. The unit has a Braille keyboard and cursor keys with voice output, and takes up to 90 minutes of recorded notes and up to 1,000 written notes. Text notes are entered by using the Braille keyboard or the cursor keys; audio notes are entered through the recording function. Data can be transferred by serial interface or with a USB adapter (both adapters are included). The unit also includes an address book with up to 1,000 entries, a calendar with up to 120 appointments, a calculator, a timer, and a stopwatch. The user can schedule reminders with an acoustic alarm. The unit has 10 volume levels and comes with an earbud. Included games include Piano, dice, black jack, lotto, roulette, bingo, and chess. Reviewed information is read in characters only, not in complete words. The unit has a reset button to reboot.
