The Dust Bowl was a monstrous black cloud that got into the smallest cracks and crevices, destroying everything it met.
It was caused by severe drought
and a failure from farmers
to use dryland farming
techniques to prevent
erosion, and therefore dry,
dusty soil, that can be
blown by the wind.
