The Great Sphinx of Giza is one of the oldest and largest statues in the world. The sphinx has a human head and a lion body that stands about 20m high from the ground up. There have been rumors of a chamber underneath the sphinx but no one has located it; it is believed to contain information about Atlantis.
Ancient Egyptians loved colour and painted many of their monuments: the body of the Sphinx was once red

Our goal is to build 4 clinics, 4 food banks, and 5 schools within the year in Egypt. Ideally, we would spend four weeks of construction on each building. Supplies would be provided by a sponsor.

After around six months, 6-7 buildings are expected to be completed and ready to function to the public; employment and training of local Egyptian doctors and teachers will commence at those locations.

Due to the incline of poverty within recent years (inflation to prices of produce and other foods being one reason), we plan to organize and run our own "soup" kitchen during any free time we have available. Although there are not very many homeless people in Egypt, it wouldn't hurt to make an effort to reach out to them.

Overview
Revolution of 2011 took President Hosni Mubarak out of power for the murders of hundreds of protestors. 26 year old Ms Mahfouz sparked the uprising through a video stating: "I, a girl, am going down to Tahrir Square, and I will stand alone. I will say no to corruption, no to this regime. Come with us and demand your rights."
Upon arrival in Egypt, the building supplies should already be at the construction sites.

We plan on renting out four suites for the duration of our stay.

The first few buildings will be a clinic and a soup kitchen. The clinic is expected to provide free care to its patients, and the soup kitchen will serve food to the public at all day hours. Gardens may be set up adjacent to these kitchens and produce harvested from them will be sold for cheap prices.

Schools will be build after and teachers will be hired locally as well as one of our people will stay to teacher for as long as they want. Board games that have been collected will be left for the children.
