It was originally published in 1969.
He is depicted as an ambitious Sicilian immigrant who moves to the Lower East Side of Manhattan and builds a Mafia empire.
Vito Andolini Corleone was born on December 7, 1891, in Sicily, Italy
When he was 20 years old, he marriage with Carmella, and starts an olive oil importing business, Genco Pura, with his friend Genco Abbandando.
By the early 1930s, Vito has organized his illegal operations into the Corleone crime family. Abbandando becomes his consigliere, with Clemenza and Tessio as caporegimes. It is soon reckoned as the most powerful crime family in the nation.
The novel covers the years 1945 to 1955.
It details the story of a fictitious Mafia family based in New York City and Long Beach, New York. headed by Don Vito Corleone, who became synonymous with the Italian Mafia.
The Corleone family is formed by :
His wife, Carmella.
Vito, has four children.
Santino "Sonny" Corleone.
Frederico "Fredo" Corleone.
Michael "Mike" Corleone.
Constanzia "Connie" Corleone.
He also has an informally adopted son, Tom Hagen.
The operational side of the organization is headed by two caporegimes: Peter Clemenza.
And Salvatore Tessio.
Antonio Andolini, his father, was murdered by the local Mafia boss, Don Ciccio.
His brother Paolo (Like me) And his mother were killed by Don Ciccio, after Paolo (Like me) tried to take revenge.
To his safety he was envoy to the United States, because his bad English lenguage, at the moment to try to told the police officers that he was from Corleone, Sicily, they namede him Vito Corleone, after that he was adopted by an Italian American family, The Abbandando.
