The Wellness Wheel Definition of Wellness: Wellness is the active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. In order for someone to maintain wellness, one must maintain a balance of all of the parts of wellness which are displayed on the wellness wheel Social Wellness As part of the Wellness Wheel, social wellness is a necessary part of everyone's life so that they can create a support network of friends Social wellness to us means hanging out with friends, talking on the phone, and having a great time. Occupational Wellness As another part of the Wellness Wheel, occupational wellness is also a very important part of every person's life. In order to maintain occupational wellness, you must enjoy your job and appreciate your contributions. Occupational wellness to us means to be the best students we can be. The next part of the Wellness Wheel is Physical wellness. Physical wellness is basically maintaining a healthy body by eating right and having a good amount of physical exercise. Next up in the Wellness Wheel is Intellectual wellness. In order to have intellectual wellness, you must have an open mind when you encounter new ideas and continue to expand your knowledge. What Intellectual wellness means to us is that we must try our hardest in school to get good grades. Emotional Wellness Another part of the Wellness Wheel is Emotional wellness. In order to maintain this part of the Wellness Wheel, you must understand your feelings and handle stress effectively. To maintain emotional wellness, we plan out our school assignments so that we won't get too stressed out. Spiritual Wellness The next part of the wellness wheel is Spiritual wellness. In order to maintain Spiritual wellness, develop a set of values that help you seek meaning and purpose. Things that we do to maintain Spiritual wellness in our lives is by going to CCD at our church. Environmental Wellness The next piece of the Wellness Wheel is Environmental wellness. Everyone must respect the delicate balance between the environment and ourselves. Things that we do to keep environmental wellness is recycle and not litter. THE END!!!
