Taco digestive system
Transcript of Taco digestive system
Gastric juice is produced by gastric glands to breakdown the protein, which is the protein.
Parietal cells produce hydrochloric acid to activate the enzymes.
After each element is digested, it is called chyme. The indigested food ends up in the anal canal which opens at the anus.
The anus has two sets of sphincters controlling elimination Ground Beef
Sour Cream and Cheese
Tomato Taco Digestion By: Meggie Sontag, Julie Newsom, and Danielle DiLonardo Small Intestine and Large Intestine The chyme enters the small intestine through the pyloric sphincter.
The proteins--beef, carbohydrates--shell, and fats are absorbed with the help of microvilli and villi.
The pancreas and liver release enzymes into a division of the small intestine for the chemical breakdown of food.
The remaining waste and undigested food travel to the large intestine.
Bacteria in the large intestine metabolize and release gas.
The indigestible food travels to be eliminated in a solid form, because the water is absorbed in the intestine. Mouth Pharynx and Esophagus The taco is swallowed voluntarily and travels the pharynx which propels the food to the esophagus. The food travels down the esophagus which moves the food by waves of muscle contractions The taco enters the mouth and is chewed up by the teeth.Chewing physically breaks down every part of the taco. The saliva chemically breaks down the starches and carbohydrates, which are in the taco shell.
