When Pablo was a child, he had an interest in writings and poems.

When he was 13 years old, he worked for the daily newspaper, where he wrote his own articles.

A couple years later he started to work for a literary journal called the "
Selva Austral."

Pablo's real name was Ricardo Basoalto.
Writings and Poems
Pablo wrote about many things including historical and political writings, autobiographies, and love poems.

One of his most famous books was called"Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair".

Other Jobs
Pablo earned the International Peace Prize in 1950

The Stalin Peace Prize in 1953,

The Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971.

His house is now a tourist attraction.

Pablo Neruda wrote Canto General in 1938, but was published in 1968.

His daughter's name was Malva Marina Trinidad.

His Death
On September 23rd, 1973, Pablo died of Prostate Cancer.

His Chauffeur thought he was poisoned.

A Murder Case was opened up after this claim, but nothing was found.
