Values
" I came to Canada about two years ago, with the worst feeling of separation from everything and everyone I'd known and loved. I thought that my life was over as my parents had decided for us to move to Canada. I used to cry everyday and every night, remembering the life that I'd had before the immigration. I constantly was thinking about my friends, my life, my relatives, and every my house in Iran. I had no friends in Canada, was completely lost in the new system, and didn't know how to survive. "

"The best parts of this program for me were the instructors, who were extremely supportive, and helped us to learn a lot of coping strategies in order to pass through our difficult times, and also helped us to find our ways to start our new lives. They were so kind to us and yet so knowledgeable, and thus made us trust them and feel safe around them. They helped us to adopt the new culture quickly and made us feel stronger."
