Junior’s basketball team plays against the team from the reservation. He is forced to pick if he should stick with his indian friends or with his new friends

Internal conflict:
Arnold vs himself, he doesn't like his physical appearance

External conflict:
Arnold vs school/class mates, make fun of him due to how he looks and acts
Resolution
After the basketball season Junior emails Rowdy

Junior goes back to the reservation for the summer to meet with old friends and to introduce his new ones.

Junior recaps his choices while visiting his grandmothers burial
Junior is born with water in his brain which he has to have surgery for which makes him look funny.

Junior throws his book at his teacher at is suspended. This is where he learns that life would be better for his if he left the reservation.

Junior starts school at Reardan
