Was born in 1430 and died on November 29, 1516
He was an Italian painter, known as the best Venetian painter in the Bellini's
Considered to have revolutionized Venetian style painting moving it towards a more sensous and colouristic style
Some of his early influences were his father Jacopo Bellini, Mantegna, as wellas Byzantine art and Christianity
In his later life he was influenced heavily by Venetian style, Messina, and Northern Style

His earlest effort of artwork was an altar-piece was the Coronation of the Virgin at Pesaro
In 1483 he was named pittore del dominio (painter fo the domain) in recognition for his works in the Doge Palace
The periods he was apart of were The Renaissance and Venetian schools
Highly know for his religously impassioned images like Madonna and Christ
In his later years, instead of mastering his younger art styles he tried new art styles
