SUMMARY
A letter

Dear Christopher,
I have an idea on what the sequel should be like of the Watsons go to Birmingham. In the next book i think the children's school should be bombed. This way the story gets more intresting. So now the Watsons have to go Alabama with Grandma Sans, but a surprise is waiting to be told at home. There parents always thought that they could hide from the kids for a month, that they were going to move to Alabama. But now they know and have to face harder challenges in life.So let me know if you like it,

THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM
1963

BY:CHRISTOPHER PAUL CURTIS
The Watsons are a loving, funny family. Also known as the weird Watsons who lived in Flint,Michigan in the early 1960's. When the oldest brother, Byron continues to be in trouble, his parents decide to take him to stay with his strict grandmother in Birmingham, Alabama. The entire family goes on the long car trip. While they are in Birmingham a church is bombed, killing several children.

Kenny, the middle child is sad because of what he sees, and it takes a while to to get over his problem with the help of his big brother, Byron, who can sometimes be sweet,

The Watsons are a close-knit family with plenty of humor and plenty of parenting. Kenny's big brother Byron, hangs out with all the thugs and bullies, but he has a good heart and looks out for his younger brother and sister. Their sister, Joey, is a follow-the-rules girl who has no problem about telling on her brothers if it means keeping them from getting into more and more trouble."
This is a symbol that represents speaking against segregation. Its not about MLK its about
segregation.
Martin Luther king was famous for giving
speech's against segregation. Personally i think this whole book was about segregation. For example: Joeys church gets bombed. That was because someone did not like this church nor the race of its members.Remember this book is not about just the family and how they get to Birmingham its about what happens there.
Kenny:kind and shy
