World History London, England London, England London, England As far as the education went during the renaissance during that time in London, the Renaissance, was the rebirth of learning in Europe during the 14th century, but also reached its height in the 15th century. Scholars had become more interested in humanist features. Also, in many of the medieval religious schools it was required for all teachers to study fields in archaeology, astronomy, mythology, history, and Scripture. Paris, France In Paris, The Lourve built by Pierre Lescot,la Sainte-Chapel, and St.Louis des Invalides were all famous buildings built during the renaissance, The Lourve is now mainly famous for having paintings and art like the Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci which has been stolen more than three times. Paris, France The architecture during the Renaissance in Paris was very Gothic and very eclectic. The Gothic architecture began around the 12th century in France, it was devoleped in north France because it was the Normans who owned the north of France who were wealthy and powerful. Paris, France During the renaissance some of the jobs people had at the time were butcher, baker, candle stick maker, also scholar, teacher, weaver or a tailor. These jobs were very important, especially a teacher since it was required to learn, to be well educated. Renaissance, Reformation, and oh my gosh European Exploration Florence, Italy Florence, Italy Florence, Italy Madrid, Spain Madrid, Spain Madrid, Spain Lisbon, Portugal Lisbon, Portugal Lisbon, Portugal During the renaissance, London was a great place to go during the Buckingham Palace, Queens Palace, and St. James' Palace. During the renaissance in London was one of the leaders out of Venice and Amsterdam in commercial development. The Tower of London was also built in the renaissance in the 12 century by Richard the Lionheart. During that time the Tower of London was used to house prisoners as far back into the 12th and 13th century. Italy was the main place for the beginning of the renaissance, mainly for its art, culture, architecture, so forth and so on. There are a lot of places to visit in Florence, Italy like the Church of San Spirito, Ospedale Degli Innocenti, and Palazzo Strozzi. Just like Venice is known for their famous waterways, Florence is known for it's famous art, famous artists from italy known as Leonardo da Vinci, Bellini, and Brunelleschi, were all famous for art. It was the italian historians that came up with the name "the Renaissance" which means "rebirth" Italy was the location of the Roman Empire, whose great artistic and intellectual achievements became so important to the era. The majority of the people in Madrid would have been working on farms, people also ran their own farms, peasents worked on arms and grew their own food and sold their surplus. In Madrid, although education was important, the roles for men and women were very different, as well as any other places during the renaissance, the men took care of the agriculture, and the women took care of everything else. When the invention of the printing press happened, books were no longer printed by hand as it was made easier for writing different books. The printing press even brought a huge change in the literary world. The architecture in Portugal was very different then what we have now, it went from Roman to Romanesque, most of the ancient Roman buildings were destroyed, by a long series of invaders that swept in over the country. During the renaissance in Portugal this was a flourishing time of beautiful music, though it isn't heard much in today's day and time. In Portugal, as well as many other place in Europe, Portugal was also affected by The Black Plague, half of Europe's population died out do to this horrific disease.
