My Perceptions!
My perceptions of an average Australian is that they have 5 in a family with 3 kids and 2 parents. They have 2 cars 1 for mum and 1 for dad. The family has 6 bedrooms. The parents are married and have a job. They live in a capital city and they all are born in Australia and speak English. They have 2-3 TV's and have electrical devices and go on holiday 2-3 times a year.
Me!
In my family there are 5 people with 3 kids and 2 parents that are married, the parents have been to university. the kids go to private school. They live in a 2 story house. There are 2 cars one for mum and one for dad. We have a back yard and we have a pool. We have 5 bedrooms and 3 TV's. We also have electronic devices. We all speak English and we were all born in Australia. We live in a capital city and we are from a Christian Religion, and have 2 pets.
Census Data!
When I found my data I found out that there are up to 4 to 5 people in a family, with 2 parents that are married and they have 4 or more bedrooms. I found that the family lives in a Capital City or in either Sydney or Melbourne. The family has 2 cars one for mum and one for dad. The family speaks English and they are all born in Australia.
Census data and perceptions.
How is my family a typical Australian?
When I compared my census data to my family, I found the similarities were that that we speak English, born in Australia, 5 in a family, we live in a capital city and my parents are married.
When I compared my family to the perceptions both speak English, there are 5 in a family with 3 kids. They were all born in Australia and live in a capital city. The parents are married and the family has electrical devices, and they have a pool and a back yard.
My Family compared to my perceptions.
My Perceptions of a average australian family compared to my census data told me that there are 5 in a family and they all speak English. They are all born in Australia and live in a capital city. There are 2 parents that are married with 2 cans 1 for mum and 1 for dad.
Perceptions, Data and Me.
