Transcript of Iceland

Iceland's Military Tactics
Iceland has no standing military force and participates in international peacekeeping missions with the civilian-manned Icelandic Crisis Response Unit. It's recognized as the most peaceful country in the world.
Personal Appearance
Personal appearance is important in Iceland and encouraged, especially when going to a theater or a fancy restaurant. Young Icelanders like to wear warm clothing similar to the U.S style.
The E.U?

Latitude: 64.09
Longitude: -21.57
Iceland has no bordering countries seeing as how it's an island, however it's bordering oceans and seas are the Atlantic Ocean and the Greenland Sea.
The capital of Iceland is Reykjavik, and Iceland is a very volcanic place with one eruption every five years or so. The climate, is much warmer then one would expect. The average temperature in Reykjavik in January is 30 degrees and the average temperature there in July is 51 degrees. The weather is about the same as it is here in the U.S.
Human Environmental Interaction
There is not much agriculture or crops grown, because of all the glaciers and frosty grass. Water is clean and safe to drink throughout the country and food is mostly fish, lamb and dairy products.
Iceland exports things such as fish and fish products, aluminum, animal products, ferrosilicon, and diatomite.
My country is not part of the E.U, but put in their application in 2009. It's application is still being considered. My country has made it's human rights rights and laws almost identical o to the other E.U countries. A major problem with Iceland joining the E.U is that Iceland doesn't want their fishing to be shared completely with the E.U because its their biggest export.
Iceland is a constitutional republic that is divided into 23 counties and 14 independent towns. The official language is Icelandic. Foreign language instruction begins in the first grade and continues through junior college and vocational school. Students are taught English and then Danish.
Current Event: Volcanoes!!
In 2010, This volcano erupted leaving the next volcano to erupt around 2015.
