Transcript of Cell Organelles Compared the Human Body

The Nucleus
The nucleus is like the control center of the cell. The nucleus is found in both plant and animal cells. Human body equivalent is the brain.
Cell Organelles Compared the Human Body
The Nucleolus
The nucleolus in a cell is inside the nucleus and creates ribosomes. It is found in both plant and animal cells. The equivalent in the human body is the food you consume.

Cell Membrane
The cell membrane in a cell provides a wall to let in good things and keep bad things out. This organelle is found in both plant and animal cells. The human equivalent the the cell membrane is the skin
Cytoplasm
Cytoplasm is the jelly like substance that helps hold the organelles in place. Cytoplasm is found in both plants and animal cells. The human body equivalent in my opinion is the brain fluid.
Ribosomes
Ribosomes in a cell produce proteins. Ribosomes are found in both plants and animal cells. The equivalent to ribosomes in the human body is amino acids.
Mitochondria
The mitochondria creates energy that a cell needs to function. This organelle is found in both plant and animal cells. The human body equivalent would be carbohydrates
Vacuole
The vacuole stores food water, wastes and other material. The vacuole is found in both plant and animal cells. The equivalent in the human body is the stomach.
Golgi body
The Golgi body helps to create and package large molecules used in other parts of the cell. This organelle is found in both plant and animal cells. the equivalent in the human body is the blood veins.
Smooth and Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum
The smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum are a network of passageways that carries material from one side of the cell to the other. It is found in both plant and animal cells. The equivalent to it in the human body is the throat and/or the intestines.
Lysosome
Lysosomes breaks down food and worn-out cell parts. This is only found in animal cells. The equivalent in the human body is the saliva.
Cell Wall
The cell wall provides plants with the strength to support its weight. This is only found in plant cells. The equivalent to it in the human body is the bones.
Chloroplast
Chloroplast captures the energy from the sunlight to produce food and energy. This is only found in plant cells. The equivalent in the human body is the eye because it absorbs energy.
